Get ready to go on A Quest for Kansas Wheat! Kansas wheat is a local staple that nourishes children, supports local farmers, and fits beautifully into your childcare menus! This engaging workshop is designed to bring Kansas wheat to life for participants through hands-on learning, practical tools, and ready-to-use resources that make whole grains easy, fun, and compliant with the CACFP program regulations.
During this workshop, you will explore age-appropriate educational materials that can be used directly in your childcare to teach children where wheat comes from and why whole grains help their bodies grow strong. You’ll leave with creative ideas for activities, simple talking points for young learners, and confidence in connecting nutrition education to everyday meals and snacks.
